  15. Take 2 cups water

Add the garlic, curry powder and thyme. Method Heat the vegetable oil in a fairly large pan, add the onion, garlic and chopped vegetables. Rinse the lentils, drain and add to the vegetables with the stock, bay leaf, sprig of thyme and salt and pepper. Fry for a few minutes, or until the bacon is just turning golden, then add the chopped celery, carrots, leeks and garlic.

  5. Take a small cup to mix the powdered soup to thicken the soup cause I love my soup thick. Once finish mixing then let it simmer then your vegetable soup is ready to serve.
  6. Mine will be served with toasted brown bread and garnished with chilli flakes.

Rinse the lentils, drain and add to the vegetables with the stock, bay leaf, sprig of thyme and salt and pepper. Fry for a few minutes, or until the bacon is just turning golden, then add the chopped celery, carrots, leeks and garlic. Add the Bouquet Garni, Mixed Herbs and season to taste. Bring to the boil, then add the potatoes. To make creamy vegetable soup, add some heavy cream at the end.
